Sex Scandal in the Congress

15 Oct 2006 by Mr. Roach

Clearly the scandal involving Mark Foley–and now Jim Kolbe and his camping trips with pages–are products of the requirement that US Congressmen undertake a vow of celibacy. This toxic stew of medieval congressional theology and repressed sexuality was bound to explode in this way.

PS Weren’t liberals championing camping trips and close mentoring by gay men and teenagers in the Boy Scouts lawsuit a few years ago?

Ah, yes, the old “I know you are, but what am I” defense. Classic, is it not? So the libs championed trips between young boys and gay men. The conservatives railed against it. Now, having been caught doing the same thing, being hypocritical, at best, you can point the finger and trash your moral foundation altogether.

And this is why you are doing so well in Iraq.

I laugh at you, Sheik Roach. Ha.

It was really a two-pronged attack on the (a) opportunistic attacks on the Catholic Church when so many other sex scandals abound and (b) the problematic position of liberals who would criticize camping trips of gays and teenagers, after they made this their chief civil rights issue in the 1990s.

Incidentally, I think Foley and possibly Hastert should be kicked out, but you must understand, Hastert did not know this guy was having sexually explicit conversations with the pages. He only knew he was friendly. Well, is it bad for gay men to be friendly with teenagers? I think it’s an item of concern, not least for the long-standing pederastic structure of gay male realtionships since the times of the Ancient Greeks, but liberals are purely opportunistic on this one.

I’m not party man Sheik. You’re an illiterate if you think that.

    PS Go get some LASIK.

There are probably more gay men in the offices of Congressional Republicans then Democrats. Although I’m betting the Democrats have more lesbians. I’m wondering how to do that research.

Roach, why are Paul’s writings so different from the rest of the New Testament? Why is the Old Testament all about sex, slavery, killing, and human wars having nothing to do with any lessons? Why does the number 40 appear over and over? Is it because 40 is the Venus cycle and the entire Judeo-Christian religion is based on the classical worship of the Sun (God) and the planet Venus (the goddess of love), and the oft-repeated religious tradition of a god who has sex with a virgin to create himself as the son–the father and the son and the son sacrifices himself and comes back concenpt? See the ancient Norse and British religions.

    That’s some heavy shit, LBHS.
