Another Horrific Inter-Racial Hate Crime

The Duke case? Hardly. The now unraveling fantasy story–somewhat unbelievable on its face–of white athletes raping a black stripper is coming to an end with very few mea culpas from those responsible for this farce.

No, I’m talking about the kidnapping, rape, and double murder in Knoxville of a rather angelic-looking white couple by a couple of thuggish black ex-cons. This case is truly awful; the facts speak for themselves:

Investigators believe Channon Christian was held hostage and raped repeatedly for several days before being killed, a federal marshal said today.

The news came on the same day that authorities captured three men sought for questioning in her death and that of her boyfriend, Christopher Newsom.

Authorities believe she and Newsom were abducted after a weekend carjacking in North Knoxville that ultimately led to both their deaths, said Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Rich Knighten of the Western District of Kentucky.

“They did some really nasty things to this lady,” Knighten said.

Newsom was shot and his body burned, Knighten said. He said he didn’t know how Christian died.

Federal and local authorities nabbed Letalvis Cobbins and a friend, George Thomas, about 10 a.m. Thursday in Lebanon, Ky. Knoxville investigators had received information that Cobbins had a relative there.

Lemaricus Davidson was arrested about 3:35 p.m. in Knoxville by KPD’s Special Operations Squad, U.S. marshals and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents.

Cobbins, Davidson and Thomas are suspects in both killings, Knighten said.

The Duke story has shown, at one and the same time, the mendacity of an amoral white prosecutor and the enabling effect of a pandering liberal media. To uphold their worldview of the evil western white world (and their own moral superiority to it), liberals make up white-on-black crimes and give massive coverage to those few that do occur. This distorts the real story: blacks in America commit disproportionate crime to their numbers, these crimes have gone up considerably since the vaunted civil rights era, and most inter-racial violent crime in America remains black-on-white. Stories involving illegal alien killers, homosexual black rapists, and repeated black on white rape-murders receive almost zero airplay, and when they do the race of the offender is often obscured. Who knows about the Witchita mass killing? Who knows about black serial killers Coral Watts or Mark Essex?

The combined effects of the media’s failure to report on these crimes, the constant anti-white messages in the culture, the revolving door aspect of the justice system, a lack of white group solidarity, and a background regard for fairness and equality among whites have disarmed white Americans from the violent reality of multicultural America. In this milieu, crimes like this can happen without even raising eyebrows.

The media and the public needs to face reality: black crime of all types is very high; there is no shame in putting violent black males for a very long time in proportion to their rates of offending; cases like James Byrd’s are as unusual as the recent double murder in Knoxville is common; white fear of blacks is thoroughly rational, as blacks commit homicide at 7-10X the white rate (a rate equal to the disproportion of male offending rates to those of women); media reporting of black violent crime often conceals the reality, lest we get a “misimpression” (i.e., a statistically valid one) that black males are way more dangerous than whites; and, finally, the pre-civil-rights era deserves thorough revisionism by historians and others to investigate whether the harsh measures taken by the white majority–white flight and restrictive covenants, for example–may have been defensive in nature, responses to the very real threat of black-on-white violence as communities become more “diverse.”
