It’s a wonder this even raises a stink Europe:
A German brother and sister who have four children together are calling for the country’s incest laws to be abolished so that they can continue their sexual relationship.
Patrick Stubing and his sister Susan ââ¬â who grew up separately ââ¬â have had three of their children taken into foster care.
Two of the children have disabilities although it is not known if these are due to inbreeding or because they were born prematurely.
Stubing spent two years in prison for incest and faces another jail term unless the legislation is overturned.
Strangely enough, the taboo against incest has become more pronounced as every other sexual taboo in the western world has gone out the window. We rarely marry first cousins anymore, even though Saddam Hussein and Rudy Giuliani, among others, have done so (connected as they both are with the pathological “keep it in the family” values of Italians and Arabs respectively). Yet the roots of many sexual taboos are basically the same: the concern for social order and stability, the concern for healthy children, and the attempt to channel most sexuality into procreative marriages. It’s noteworthy that there is little difference in the moral reasons to forbid gay and incestuous relationships. They both are “icky.” Yet they are both defended as self-fullfilling acts between consenting adults. Of course, once the fabric of taboo is unraveled, we may find that even taboos against things far worse than this become open to discussion.

The funny thing is that in interviews, the brother is the only one who seems to talk. He’s a wretch of a man. The sister, though seemingly suffering from some serious emotional problems, is pretty hot.
