This great website collects dozens of articles on the shameful history of the left that they would rather have stuffed down the memory hole. In particular, documenting leftist apologies for Communist atrocities from the time of the Ukrainian famine of the 1930s up through the massacres of Pol Pot in the 1970s feature prominently.
Of course, to take stock of this damning legacy of casuistry and lies requires several qualities that are not generally instilled by a modern education: awareness of the basic historical facts, critical thinking ability, and skepticism towards authority. The latter might seem surprising. But the leftist orthodoxy succeeds where others failed because it persuasively masks its strangle-hold on thought by representing itself as an edgy and counter-cultural critique from the outside. Thus, a leftist education allows students to think they’ve analyzed something critically when they plug it into a formula that looks to the “race, class, and gender” dimensions of the problem. What happened, why, whether the race-class-gender trio are relevant, and why the salient facts may be fairly interpreted to support a conclusion are derided as old-fashioned skills, the practitioners of which are concerned with such retrograde concepts as truth and accuracy.

Useful site, but the quality of the articles is pretty variable. An issue not mentioned, and one which I think doesn’t get the coverage it deserves, is the KGB’s role behind the Pope’s attempted assassination in 1981.
