I think races, like ethnicities and families, have certain traits in common, in particular when we’re looking at averages and medians. Surely, this should not be shouted from the roof tops to demoralize people that can still accomplish quite a bit. At the same time, serious academic inquiry into things like the “achievement gap” should not be dealing with the equivalent of a “noble lie” that cannot be questioned.

Even if it were true, it would lead to bad results. If it were true, it would be obvious to everyone, so there is no need to make a formal, official admission. Lets keep it to ourselves and encourage everyone to be the best that they can be. Intelligence isn’t everything. Look at Sean Penn’s success.
