In a free society, one would think you could earn a living if you had peculiar political views, particularly if you kept them to yourself, and they did not affect your job performance. Recently, the lovely British ballerina Simone Clarke was outed for being a member of the British National Party. She joined the party out of concern for rising crime and nation-destroying immigration policies in Great Britain. One would think after the 2005 train bombings, her point wouldn’t be so controversial.
So, the Guardian decided to out her, even though she took steps to keep her views private. Then it castigated her for using her position in the ballet to advance the BNP. As in the former Soviet states, she became an “enemy of the people” for her views and may soon find herself unemployable in her chosen profession. What a worthless creed that demands policing of private, defensible, and perfectly legal viewpoints and behavior. But this is the age of political correctness, which demands not mere fidelity to the laws, but conformity of opinions as well.
Look at her.

Clearly, she’s a danger to society.
