The recession is bad and barely getting better. Desperate to change the subject, Obama is making a big deal about last year’s killing of OBL as if he were Washington leading the troops to put down the Whiskey Rebellion. He’s also resorting to the if-you-don’t-like-me-you’re-racist trope.
Yes things arguably have stabilized and slightly improved, but the percentage of working people is way down and the growth of jobs is unsteady and slow. I believe living in DC this is not as visible to him as it is in places like California and Florida. He is truly in a bubble and has seemed indifferent to the economy from day one, instead peddling the old Euro-style welfare state plans even as Europe itself is imploding on account of its unsustainable finances.

Normally one would think that the more people out of work, the worse the chances for the incumbent However, in this case you have an incumbent who would break the bank to help the unemployed going against the so called party that wants limited government. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Obama’s policies, which have lead to an increase in the non working population, actually leads to an increase in his support.
Over 46M Americans are presently on food stamps (SNAP). In 2008 that number was 30-31M. Calling Obama the food stamp president does no violence to the truth.
I’m afraid UnPC is right. By making huge numbers of the population vulnerable or dependent on government aid, The Messiah has expanded his “base” — those whose ears stand up when they hear his fake populism. Instead of Roosevelt’s successful “tax and tax, spend and spend, elect and elect,” today’s updated formula for political success is “make them unemployed, make them desperate, promise them redistribution.”
But the trust fund tool Romney is an absolute and unmitigated clown. A buffoon. He’s a sexual deviant, very violent, roided out, and likely even a sociopathic criminal. That he’s committed aggravated battery numerous times in his life is well documented. We have NO choice. We are doomed.
