This story died down in a hurry. But there’s still some interesting news and analysis taking place. Talk Left, a liberal crime blogger, basically explains why the state has no case against George Zimmerman and looks at the nakedly results-oriented way the prosecutor has cajoled certain witnesses into changing their stories. This is not appropriate; prosecutors are supposed to seek the truth. They are not ordinary advocates, and they are not supposed to obtain victory at any cost.

My crystal ball shows a serious Nifonging in Zimmerman’s future. The prosecution already put their reputations on the line with the murder charge; now they’re going to double down and try to make the jury look racist.
That’s pessimistic, of course. Since most of my predictions are wrong, I try to be as pessimistic as possible.
