I think everyone senses something is wrong with the economy. It just does not have much security to it, nor does the recovery seem to match the reality of widespread dropouts, unemployment, and inflation. Part of this is that the unemployment number is gamed and ignores the large numbers of folks who have dropped out of the economy, taking early retirements, choosing not to work, collecting disability claims that are either outright frauds or that they might have otherwise foregone. Anyway, this chart says a lot, and I think while Baby Boomers retiring has something to do with it, the real unemployment number has got to be closer to 10%. Hope and Change!
